The AIC-22 is designed to be very margin-efficient, with margin usage that typically stays relatively stable throughout the life of the trade rather than expanding significantly during adjustments.

For a single standard unit (or tranche), the margin requirement is approximately $18,000. In practice, a $20,000–$25,000 account (or planned capital allocation) is appropriate for trading one unit comfortably, allowing for a reasonable capital buffer.

The workshop also covers a lower-margin variation of the AIC-22, which reduces the capital requirement to roughly half of the standard version, making it accessible to traders working with smaller accounts.

The AIC-22 is primarily designed as a monthly strategy, with one trade typically entered per month. In most cases, overlapping trades are not necessary as they are usually closed within 30 days window or less, in order to achieve the strategy’s intended performance.

That said, the AIC-22 is flexible. Because index options such as SPX offer multiple expiration cycles each week (and even daily expirations), the strategy can be deployed more frequently if desired—provided there is sufficient liquidity in those expiration cycles and adequate capital to support overlapping positions.
